Tungsten carbide valve seat are specifically developed to resist wear at high temperatures for wellhead control valve ball. The material is based on wear-resistant carbides that are thermally stable at exhaust valve seat operating temperature. These kind valve parts can be used in float control pumps for oil and gas and some other hostile enviroment.Mediums include gas,water,oil,sand,wax,asphalt and etc.

The role of the valve seat and valve ball is to control the oil flow unidirectionally. The working media include gas, water, oil, sand, wax, resin, asphaltene, and other substances, which are randomly varying non-homogeneous phase media. The valve operates alternately, turning on and off at a certain frequency cycle. The extracted liquid, carrying mechanical impurities at high speed, violently washes the valve seat, causing significant impact between the seat, ball, and cover.
In oil wells with a high sand content, the sealing surface between the ball and the seat wears out more quickly. Additionally, most oil wells contain corrosive media, which particularly affects the valve seat. Carbide valve seats offer excellent resistance to scour, wear, and corrosion, making them better suited for the harsh working conditions of the pump.
