Tungsten Carbide Grinding Ball Performance

High hardness: Carbide grinding ball hardness is only lower than a few superhard materials such as diamond and cubic boron nitride. For example, in the Rockwell hardness (HRA) test, the hardness of hard alloy grinding balls can reach between 85-92, which allows it to grind various hard materials such as ores, ceramics, and glass.


Good wear resistance: Due to TC ball high hardness, the wear rate is low during the grinding process. Compared with ordinary steel balls, the service life of hard alloy grinding balls can be extended several times or even tens of times. For example, under the same conditions of grinding quartz sand, steel balls may show significant wear after several hundred hours of grinding, while hard alloy grinding balls can be used continuously for thousands of hours.


Higher density: Hard alloy ball density is generally around 14-15g/cm ³, which is much higher than the density of steel balls (about 7.8g/cm ³). The higher density allows the grinding ball to have greater kinetic energy during the grinding process, enabling it to more effectively crush and grind materials.


Good chemical stability: Tungsten carbide grinding balls have good chemical stability in general chemical environments. It has a certain tolerance to most acidic and alkaline solutions, and when grinding some chemical raw materials, it will not easily react with the materials and affect the quality of the materials.


Features and applications: The tungsten alloy ball is small in volume and high in specific gravity, and can be used in the fields that require small parts with high specific gravity, such as golf weights, fishing sinkers, weights,   oil drilling platforms . Tungsten alloy balls can also be used in high-precision fields, such as mobile phone vibrators, balance of pendulum clocks and automatic watches, anti-vibration tool holders,  etc. High specific gravity tungsten alloy balls are widely used in industrial as balance weights.
