Repairing spikes can repair factory tire studs that have been removed, or install them to replace worn factory spikes, ensuring winter rubber repair and significant savings.
Repair studs JX12-8-2 is installed in the hole on the tire tread, with a remaining depth of 7 to 8 mm. Install repair studs using JX12 air gun.
Repair Spikes consist of three basic elements:
● Steel tenon body - Compared to standard tenon bodies, the height is lower. Meanwhile, the larger 12mm flange diameter allows it to be securely fixed in larger holes. Polymer liner - Determine the direction of the studs and fill the wear holes in the tread rubber. The use of polymers can reduce the weight of nails, even though they are larger than standard tire studs. In addition, polymers do not corrode, unlike steel and aluminum. Hard alloy inserts - made of tungsten carbide based hard alloy VK-8, can safely operate and repair automotive rubber screws until they are completely worn.
