Welding technology of wear plates is relatively advanced, which generally requires qualified personnel in professional fields. Several processes used in the welding of wear-resistant plates include cutting, preheating, drilling, etc. Generally, cutting tools and a certain cutting speed should be used appropriately according to the hardness of the wear-resistant plate to complete a better cutting and welding of wear-resistant plate. If artificial welding is used elsewhere, attention should also be paid to temperature control when welding wear plates.

Where is the better heat resistance of wear plates?

Better heat resistance:

It is recommended to use the wear-resistant plate under operating conditions of ≤600℃. When vanadium, molybdenum and other alloys are added to the wear-resistant alloy layer, it can withstand high temperature wear of ≤ 800 ℃.

The recommended operating temperatures are as follows:

It is recommended to use ordinary carbon steel substrate under working conditions of no more than 380 °C;

It is recommended to use low alloy heat resistant steel plates (15CrMo, 12Cr1MOV, etc.) to be used under working conditions not exceeding 540 °C;

It is recommended to use the heat-resistant stainless-steel substrate under working conditions of no more than 800 ℃

What are the areas of application for wear plates?

1) Thermal power plants: medium-speed coal mill cylinder lining, fan wheel base, dust collector inlet channel, ash slag line, blade turbine lining, separator connection pipe, coal crusher lining, coal hopper and shredder lining, burner, coal fall hopper and hopper insert, air preheater support tile, separator guide blade. The above parts do not have too high demands on the hardness and wear resistance of wear-resistant steel plates and can use wear-resistant NM360/400 steel plates with a thickness of 6–10mm.

2) Coal bearing: feed shaft and hopper lining, hopper lining, fan wing, push bottom plate, cyclone dust collector, coke guide lining plate, ball mill lining, drill bit stabilizer, screw conveyor bell and base seat, kneading bucket lining, ring feeder, dump bottom. The operating environment of the coal bearing is harsh, and there are certain requirements for the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the wear-resistant steel plate.
